Funded by: FP6, Specific targeted research project Grant Agreement: No:019797 (Supporting Energy Systems 6) Duration: 24 months, Starting date 01. 12. 2006 Partners: 9 participants from 7 countries (Germany, UK, Bulgaria, Holland, Slovenia, Finland, USA)
Abstarct: Designed as a joint EU and US collaborative effort in the framework of the EU-US Cooperation Agreement on fuel cells. NextGenCell aims to bring domestic fuel cell microchip next step towards commercialization. The elements manufactured from PEMEAS GmbH have to be improved in several directions—significant cost decrease, reliability, system simplification, increasing system temperature. The aim of the project is to develop and test a prototype of a mocroCHP fuel cell (5 kW) with modular design for global markets.
